The Sealey Challenge: Day 5! My Ocean-ography by Harriet Levin

I don't call poetry a masterpiece often. I might say "good" or "good-enough." My Ocean-ography is a masterpiece in reimagined narrative historical poetry. Arguably, the narrator may not be historical--that is part of the duplicity. The narrator shifts and switches perspectives, but never changes from the persona. Eva Hesse may have been what started the concept for the collection, but somewhere, narratives and complex situations that occur in other marriages, swirl together so that the collection is a biography of many women, and not just Hesse--while staying with Hesse. Amazing.
